Our Longest Route
Dallas is the longest haul we quote — about 1,240 miles and roughly 18 hours of driving via I-10 and I-20. This is unmistakably a multi-day move: Marcus Bell’s crew builds in a required overnight rest stop, and Nairi Sarkisian tracks pickup, the stop, and delivery as one continuous dispatch window rather than three separate guesses.
Why Dallas, Specifically
Two reasons come up constantly on this route: a major job market, and Texas having no state income tax. We’re moving trucks, not filing returns — for anything specific to taxes or what a move like this means for your finances, that’s a question for an accountant, not for us. We can just tell you it’s a reason people cite.
What Multi-Day Means Here
No swap trucks, no warehouse hand-off partway through Arizona or New Mexico. The same truck and crew that left North Hollywood rest overnight and finish the route the next day.
- ~1,240 miles via I-10 and I-20 — the longest of our 10 routes
- ~18-hour drive, a genuine two-day (occasionally three-day) haul
- Required overnight rest stop built into the dispatch window
- Common draws: major job market, Texas’s no state income tax (not tax advice)
- Same truck, same crew, no hand-off across three states
North Hollywood → Dallas — Typical Cost By Home Size
| Home Size | Price Range | Estimated Transit Time |
|---|---|---|
| Studio / 1-bedroom loads | Smallest load for our longest route, priced after a walkthrough | Two-day delivery with one rest stop |
| 2-3 bedroom homes | Full crew and truck, priced by weight and cube | Two-day delivery, occasionally three for a full load |
| 4+ bedroom / large households | Largest crew, sometimes a second truck, priced individually | Two to three days depending on load-out and stops |
Eddie builds these ranges off what an in-home walkthrough actually shows — room count, stairs, a piece or two that’s bigger than it looks — so the number reflects this load, not a generic size chart.
Moving North Hollywood to Dallas?
Before the truck leaves North Hollywood, Eddie works out the load plan for this specific run: what goes on first, what has to come off first once it reaches Dallas, and how access works at both ends of the trip
That planning matters more on a long haul than most movers let on — furniture that needs to come off first at the new place can’t be the first thing buried under everything else in the truck. Nairi locks in the crew once that plan is set, and Marcus runs the load on move day working from it instead of figuring it out in the driveway. The paperwork shifts the moment the truck leaves California, too — from there it’s our US DOT and MC authority covering the move, not our California DMV Household Goods Carrier permit.
