Ask three moving companies in the Valley for a price and you’ll get three different vague half-answers. We quote off one rate card — the same one Nairi pulls up to book your job — and it doesn’t change depending on who’s asking or which side of Lankershim you’re on.
Local Hourly Rates
Local moves in North Hollywood, Burbank, Van Nuys, and the rest of the Valley are billed hourly by crew size. A refundable $200 deposit holds your date and locks in the crew Eddie recommends at your walkthrough.
| Crew Size | Rate | Typically Fits |
|---|---|---|
| 2 movers | $155/hr | Studio or one-bedroom, light furniture |
| 3 movers | $195/hr | Two- or three-bedroom house or condo |
| 4 movers | $245/hr | Larger homes, full-pack jobs, heavy pieces like a piano or a safe |
Portal-to-Portal, Plainly Explained
The clock starts when the crew and truck leave our Lankershim Blvd yard and stops when the job’s done at your new address. There’s no separate travel fee layered on top — it’s the same hourly rate the whole time.
What Actually Moves the Number
The hourly rate is fixed. What changes your final bill is how many hours the job runs, and five things drive that more than anything else.
- Crew size. Eddie sizes the crew at your in-home or video walkthrough, not off a square-footage chart he’s never seen your stairs on.
- Stairs and access. A third-floor walk-up near the NoHo Arts District loads slower than a ground-floor unit in a Valley Village tract home with a driveway.
- Distance and traffic. Crossing the 101/170 interchange during the evening Sepulveda Pass backup eats clock time even when the mileage barely moves.
- Packing needs. Boxes packed before we arrive save labor hours. A full-service pack from our crew adds them, but nothing gets loaded twice.
- Extra stops. A run by a storage unit off Vineland or a second address adds drive time and load-out time both, so flag it before quote day, not on it.
Why We Bill Hourly, Not Flat-Rate
Plenty of local outfits quote a flat number up front, then pad it once the truck’s loaded and you’re not in a position to argue. We don’t work that way.
Nairi’s dispatch board tracks the crew against the window she gave you. If the job runs faster than expected, you’re billed for the time it actually took — not a padded estimate built to cover someone else’s bad guess.
What’s Included at Every Crew Size
The rate covers the truck, moving pads, basic tools and straps, and dollies for the job. Basic disassembly and reassembly of beds, tables, and similar furniture is part of the labor hours, not a separate line item.
Basic released-value protection comes standard at no extra cost.
If you want a higher payout ceiling than basic coverage provides, ask Eddie about full-value protection at your walkthrough — he’ll price it against your inventory, not a generic add-on menu.
Same rate card whether you’re moving out of a 1960s Valley Village bungalow or a new mid-rise off Vineland. Crew size and hours decide the total, not the zip code.
Getting an Accurate Number
The fastest way to a real quote is Eddie’s in-home or video walkthrough. He sizes the crew, flags anything that’ll add hours — stairs, a piano, a storage stop on the way — and gives you a figure tied to the rate card above.
Call (714) 241-2673 or send a few photos through our quote form. Either way, you get a crew size and an hourly rate before the truck leaves our Lankershim Blvd yard.
